Umar Adamu Umar (NSE, NIM, COREN) is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as an Assistant Chief Scientific Officer at the Energy Commission of Nigeria since January 2007, Umar has developed a significant database for oil and gas exploration to support policy-making, and played a key role in creating an energy sector framework with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Previously, as a Senior Scientific Officer, Umar contributed to a ₦22 million solar energy project and led a UNDP-Global Environment Facility project analyzing energy consumption patterns in North-East Nigeria.
