Abdelmalek Abes

Abdelmalek Abes is a dedicated research assistant at the Energy & Environmental Research Center since July 2022, with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently involved with Sonatrach since February 2020, Abdelmalek has conducted natural fracture analysis, petrophysical evaluations, and studies on geomechanics and hydraulic fracturing in the Hassi Messaoud field. Additional contributions include a study of petroleum potential in the Hodna Basin and a petrophysical study of wells in the Timimoun Basin. Educationally, Abdelmalek is pursuing a Ph.D. in petroleum engineering at the University of North Dakota and holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Structural Geology from the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene.
