Philipp Awater

Philipp Awater is an experienced professional in the power systems and energy sector, currently serving as the Head of Solutions (Power Systems) for EMEA at Energy Exemplar since January 2021, where leadership of an international team focuses on strategic growth and client outcomes in electricity markets. Previously, Philipp held the role of Lead Energy Market Analyst at Energy Exemplar, contributing to the development of the PLEXOS simulation technology. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Consultant with PTI Power System Consulting at Siemens, and leading a research group at the Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics (IAEW), where responsibility included overseeing research projects and teaching in power system engineering. Philipp's educational background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering and a Diplom-Ingenieur from RWTH Aachen University, along with study at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
