Network Performance Principal Engineer at Energy Queensland

Trevor Gear has over 16 years of work experience in the energy industry. Trevor began their career at Ergon Energy in 2005, where they held various roles, including Senior Distribution Planning Engineer and Principal Engineer. In 2010, they became the Manager of Demand Planning and Facilitation before transitioning to the role of Network Planning Engineer Manager. Trevor joined Energy Queensland in 2017, taking on the position of Network Planning Manager – Southern. Trevor is currently working as the Network Performance Principal Engineer. Throughout their career, Trevor has demonstrated leadership skills, successfully managing teams and developing efficient processes for customer connection and network planning. Trevor has also played an instrumental role in the planning and commissioning of solar farms.

Trevor Gear completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland from 1995 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Masters of Management (Engineering) degree at CQUniversity from 2011 to 2015.
