Yash Mhatre

Yash Mhatre is currently a Thesis Student at Energy Queensland, working under the guidance of RPEQ Laren Lim and Professor Tapin Saha to investigate the effects of solar penetration on the temperature and loading capacities of substation transformers. With experience as an Intern Technical Solutions Engineer, Yash specialized in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of power generation, transmission, and distribution, leveraging expertise in electrical engineering principles. Yash has held various roles including Salesperson at JB Hi-Fi, Outreach Officer for the UQ Biomedical Engineering Society, Student Ambassador at The University of Queensland, and Transport Electronics Engineer Intern with Brisbane City Council. Previous positions also include sales and customer service roles at Woolworths Supermarkets, and leadership as Head Waiter at JoJos Restaurant. Yash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from The University of Queensland, along with experience in Physiotherapy studies from James Cook University.
