Michael Gustafson

Michael Gustafson is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Energy Recovery, Inc., a position held since June 2017. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Product Engineer and Product Support Engineer at Agility Fuel Systems, contributing to the improvement of cryogenic and compressed natural gas fuel systems for heavy-duty trucks from December 2013 to February 2017. Michael was also involved with California State University Formula SAE as Team Captain and Chassis Lead from August 2010 to July 2013, where efforts focused on designing and improving open-wheel racecars. Additionally, a mechanical engineering internship at Kepler Motors provided experience in drivetrain integration and suspension component design. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton, earned in 2013.
