Drone Software Engineer at Energy Robotics

Ahmed Hamdi Moustafa has a diverse work experience in the fields of robotics, software engineering, and research. Their most recent position was as a Drone Software Engineer at Energy Robotics starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at SICK Sensor Intelligence as a Master Thesis Student and Intern. In these roles, they conducted research on Visual Odometry and VSLAM algorithms, developed device drivers and framework features, and participated in various research projects in robotics and localization & mapping. Ahmed has also completed internships at Elsewedy Electric and Petroleum Air Services, where they gained hands-on experience in technical support and aircraft maintenance.

Ahmed Hamdi Moustafa has a diverse education history. Ahmed Hamdi obtained their Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Sc.) in Mechatronics Engineering from The German University in Cairo from 2013 to 2018. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in a semester exchange program at Technische Hochschule Ulm in 2015-2016.

In terms of secondary education, Ahmed attended Al Wadi International School from 2011 to 2013, where they pursued the Cambridge International Advanced Level (A.L). Before that, they completed their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (I.G.C.S.E) at Al Waha International School, where they studied from 2006 to 2011.

Alongside their formal education, Ahmed has also acquired several additional certifications. Ahmed Hamdi completed the C++ Nanodegree Program from Udacity in March 2022. In October 2021, they obtained three certifications from DeepLearning.AI: "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning."
