Mahesh Balakrishnan

Mahesh Balakrishnan has a vast work experience in the engineering field. Mahesh started their career in 1997 as a Senior Energy Engineer at Select Energy Services, which is now known as Ameresco. In 2006, they joined Honeywell building solutions as an Engineer. From 2007 onwards, Mahesh worked at Energy Systems Group (ESG), where they initially served as the Engineering Manager for the NE region. In November 2019, they were promoted to the position of Director of Engineering, FBU at ESG.

Mahesh Balakrishnan completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech from 1992 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama, which they attended from 1989 to 1992. Mahesh began their educational journey by completing their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1980 to 1985. Additionally, Mahesh Balakrishnan has earned several certifications, including Professional Engineer (multiple states on the east coast), LEED AP, and CEM, CMVP.
