Ryan Urschel

Ryan Urschel is a Senior Energy Performance Engineer at Energy Systems Group, leading the development of public sector energy performance contracts since February 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Senior Energy Engineer at Centrica for nearly nine years, focusing on energy efficiency upgrades for municipal and commercial clients, and mentoring other engineers. Ryan's experience also includes roles as an Energy Engineer II and Lighting Engineer at Centrica, where responsibilities involved auditing, designing mechanical systems, and managing energy efficiency projects. Earlier professional experience includes conducting energy audits for clients at Leidos and assisting in HVAC design as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Lewis Engineering. Ryan began a career in the HVAC industry as a Junior Service Technician at J & M Schwarz Heating and Cooling. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Engineering Technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology and an Associate of Science in related fields from Hudson Valley Community College.
