Chris Sonneborn

Chris Sonneborn has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chris started their career as a Salesman at Windsurfing Gale in 1992. From 1996 to 2001, they held various roles at Enron and Enron Capital and Trade Resources, where they developed and implemented new software systems and tools for gas control operations.

In 1998, Chris joined Enron North America/Houston Pipe Line Company as a Director/Manager, where they played a pivotal role in negotiating and building a joint-venture pipeline in Wyoming. Chris also created a comprehensive hydraulic model for Houston Pipe Line Company, among other accomplishments.

In 2001, they worked as a Director at Enron Broadband Services, overseeing contract governance and managing the construction of a large fiber optic network. Chris successfully recovered a significant amount in accounts receivable.

From 2002 to 2005, Chris worked at American Electric Power as a Manager in Facilities Planning. Here, they focused on natural gas pipeline design, simulation, estimation, and construction, providing technical advice and support to commercial clients.

Since then, Chris has been with Energy Transfer in various leadership roles. As Senior Director of Engineering - Pipeline System Planning, they played a crucial role in the company's engineering and pipeline system planning from 2005 to 2016. Later, they served as Vice President in the Facility/System Planning and the Engineering departments. In their most recent role as Vice President of Engineering & Construction, Chris was responsible for overseeing the engineering and construction operations of the company.

Chris Sonneborn completed their education at Rice University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1989 to 1993. Chris later pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 1993 to 2001. Additionally, Sonneborn attended Trinity Valley from 1976 to 1989, although no specific degree or field of study information is provided for this period.
