Chris Sonneborn

Vice President - Engineering & Construction at Energy Transfer

Chris Sonneborn has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chris started their career as a Salesman at Windsurfing Gale in 1992. From 1996 to 2001, they held various roles at Enron and Enron Capital and Trade Resources, where they developed and implemented new software systems and tools for gas control operations.

In 1998, Chris joined Enron North America/Houston Pipe Line Company as a Director/Manager, where they played a pivotal role in negotiating and building a joint-venture pipeline in Wyoming. Chris also created a comprehensive hydraulic model for Houston Pipe Line Company, among other accomplishments.

Later, they served as Vice President in the Facility/System Planning and the Engineering departments. In their most recent role as Vice President of Engineering & Construction, Chris was responsible for overseeing the engineering and construction operations of the company.

Chris Sonneborn completed their education at Rice University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 1989 to 1993. Chris later pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution from 1993 to 2001.
