Deborah Merril

Deborah Merril is a seasoned executive in the energy sector, currently serving as President of bp Energy Retail Company since December 2022 and as a Board Advisor for Energy Transition Ventures since April 2021, focusing on investments in startups promoting energy transition. Merril's extensive experience includes key leadership roles at EDF Energy Services as President of Retail, and as a founder of Drysdale Insights, LLC, providing advisory services in the evolving energy landscape. Deborah has held various board positions, including with Just Energy, where as CEO, Deborah led significant company transformations, and Hudson Energy, where business growth was successfully achieved. An active participant in women's professional networks in energy, Deborah is an advisory board member of The Hawthorn Club and formerly the Women's Energy Network Houston. Deborah holds an MBA from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The College of Wooster.
