Karla Rust has a diverse work experience in various engineering and maintenance roles. Karla started their career in 2008 as an Electronics Testing Technician at BAE Systems, where they performed quality testing and inspection of C4I equipment. Karla also organized and supervised a team of testing technicians, successfully completing a project on schedule and saving the company money.

In 2003, Karla joined the US Air Force Reserve as part of the Aircraft Maintenance team. Karla ensured the quality of technical manuals and schematics for the C-5 Aircraft Modification Program and managed maintenance teams.

From 2014 to 2016, Karla worked at Charles River Laboratories as part of the Instrument Services team. Karla provided preventative and corrective maintenance to various instrument product lines, while also writing and updating standard operating procedures and service manuals.

Currently, Karla is employed at EnergyUnited as an Electrical Engineer I. Karla'sresponsibilities include conducting research on equipment and materials, analyzing the reliability of the electrical system, and maintaining up-to-date specifications of electric materials and equipment. Karla also recommends remedial actions to address system issues.

Karla Rust's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the University of Delaware. Karla pursued a field of study in Biochemistry and completed their studies in 2002. In 2003, they then attended the Community College of the Air Force and obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Avionics, which they completed in 2008. From 2006 to 2007, they attended Trident Technical College and earned an Associate of Science degree. In 2011, Karla Rust joined The Citadel and completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry, in 2014.
