James Luo

James Luo has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. James currently serves as the Director of Finance and Accounting at Energy Vault since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Controller in the Silicon Valley branch of GCM from August 2021 to July 2022. From September 2020 to August 2021, James worked as the Controller and Director of Finance at Greenliant. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Controller at Xiangyu USA Inc. from September 2016 to August 2020. Before that, they worked as a Senior Accounting Manager at Canadian Solar Inc. from October 2013 to September 2016. James also served as the Plant Controller at Toyota Boshoku Canada Inc. from September 2012 to October 2013. Prior to that, they held roles as an Accounting Manager and Cost Accountant at Danby Products Limited from August 2008 to August 2012 and December 2003 to August 2008, respectively. James began their career as an Internal Auditor at Xiamen Xiangyu Group from January 2001 to March 2003.

James Luo completed their Bachelor's degree in International Accounting from Xiamen University in 1994. James then pursued a Master's degree in Financial Accountability from York University, which they completed in 2012. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications in areas such as managing team conflict, communication, advanced formatting techniques in Excel, leading with emotional intelligence, transitioning from manager to leader, and working with difficult people, all from LinkedIn in the year 2020.
