Etienne Gehain

Etienne Gehain is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in digital solutions and energy technologies. Currently serving as the New Digital Solutions Director, Digital Innovation Officer, and Head of Corporate R&D Smart Energy & Environment at ENGIE since June 2011, Etienne manages a portfolio of R&D projects focused on digital technologies and energy storage, aligning them with the company's strategic goals. Additionally, since August 2018, Etienne has contributed as a member of the Foundation Council at Energy Web Foundation. Prior experience includes leadership as the Chef du Département Performance et Appui at GDF SUEZ from September 2007 to June 2011, providing sales and marketing support across various domains and optimizing business unit performance. Etienne holds a PhD in Electrochemistry, Batteries from Middlesex University and a Master of Science from UMONS.
