Ville Miettinen

Ville Miettinen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ville started their career as a Master Thesis Worker at Fortum Distribution Oy, where they focused on customer service regarding outages handling. From there, they moved on to Fortum Markets as an Account Manager, where they were responsible for business customer accounts and new customer sales. Ville also played a role in selling guarantees of origin and electricity purchasing agreements for small-scale wind producers. After that, Ville worked at Pöyry Management Consulting Oy as a Senior Consultant, leading various energy-related projects and working on studies about electricity market routes, electricity procurement and sales strategies, and district heat pricing. Ville later joined Nord Pool AS as a Market Manager, overseeing the Finnish customer accounts and new customer acquisition. Following this, they worked at Helsinki Metropolitan Smart & Clean Foundation as a Senior Advisor, where they facilitated the development of new business concepts and ecosystems and managed major testbed platforms. Their next role was at AFRY as a Principal, where they led the sales of management consulting assignments, executed consulting projects, and developed the company's management consulting offering in energy and sustainability. Most recently, Ville was at Canter as the Head of Customer Operations, where they led the service business, managed customer projects, and oversaw the customer operations team. Currently, they are the Vice President of EV Charging at Enersense International Oyj, a fast charger manufacturer, and the Director of New Business.

Ville Miettinen has a diverse educational background. Ville attended Aalto University in 2009-2010, where they completed the Energy Business Professionals programme. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2007, they pursued their M. Sc degree at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, specializing in Power networks, energy technology, and economics. Ville's education traces back to their matriculation examination at Porin suomalainen yhteislyseo PSYL from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Ville Miettinen holds several certifications, including being a Certified Trainer in Everything DiSC from MLP Modular Learning Processes Oy, a NPL Practitioner certified by Suomen NPL -yhdistys ry, and a Certified electricity trader from Adato Energia Oy & Nord Pool ASA.
