Francis Chan has a diverse range of experience in mechanical engineering roles. Francis most recently worked at EnerSys as a Mechanical Engineering Lead starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at PAC - Petroleum Analyzer Company in a Research and Development role since 2021. From 2019 to 2021, Francis was a R&D Hardware Developer - Mechanical Engineering at Fortinet. Francis also has experience at GEA Group, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineering - Project Lead from 2014 to 2019, and as an ISO9001 Quality Management System Internal Auditor from 2016 to 2019. Francis started their career at CH2M HILL as a Mechanical Engineering Intern in 2009 and worked as a Field Quality Control Technician at Metro Testing Laboratories Ltd in 2007.
Francis Chan completed their education at The University of British Columbia, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2005 to 2010. Francis further pursued their studies and obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2010-2011. Additionally, Francis obtained certifications in ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor from Jack Sekhon & Associates Inc. in April 2016, Lean Principals Six Sigma Yellow Belt from GEA Group in 2016, and Autodesk Inventor Professional Simulation from AutoDesk in May 2015.
