Somesh Chandra

Somesh Chandra has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Somesh began their career as a Programmer at Spaceage Software Systems in 1998 and then worked as a Software Engineer at Meta Infotech Pvt. Ltd. from February 2000 to November 2000. Somesh then joined Software Elements Pvt. Ltd. and served as a Software Engineer, where they developed websites using ASP, PHP, and JSP. Somesh also developed an FTP file transfer client using socket programming in Visual Basic 6, which interacted with a server developed in Java.

Somesh then transitioned to Access Matrix Technologies, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on Supply Chain Management applications using Visual Basic 6.0 and SQL Server. Somesh implemented a 3-tier architecture to separate business logic and user interface.

Somesh later joined Cybernette India as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on client-server application development using SQL Server and .Net. Somesh also developed a SQL Server enterprise manager-like front end to access MSDE using the SQL Server object model in VB.

In 2003, Somesh joined Blue Star Infotech as a Consultant. During this time, they developed a front end using VBA in MS Excel to allow BAAN users to interact with the Informix database for item searches. Somesh also designed and developed a .Net client-server application, implementing the observer pattern and singleton pattern.

Somesh then moved to Capgemini (Erstwhile Patni Computer Systems), where they worked as a Technical Specialist. Here, they managed a Java project for an Australian surface mining company and managed .Net projects and a team of .Net developers for a Texas-based oil and gas domain software development company.

In 2013, Somesh joined Eaton as a Manager IT, where they managed a team of developers and worked with businesses across the US, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America regions. Somesh focused on building organizational capabilities.

Most recently, Somesh worked at Citi as a Delivery Manager from June 2017 to June 2022.

Somesh Chandra's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Bhagalpur careers, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Somesh then pursued a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Computer Applications from Madurai Kamaraj University, completing it from 2000 to 2003. Later on, from 2014 to 2016, Somesh studied at Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, where they obtained a Corporate Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a specialization in CRM & HR.

In addition to their formal education, Somesh Chandra has also earned various certifications. In 2016, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Level certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. In 2017, they became a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance. In 2018, they achieved the Certified DevOps Practitioner certification from GSDC - Global Skill Development Council. In 2019, they obtained the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in 2020, Somesh became an IBM Certified Data Engineer - Big Data and a Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
