Sophie M. has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Starting in 2015, they worked as a Research Intern at TOTAL, where they focused on statistics and database management. In 2016, they continued their research internship at ESPCI Paris, where they further developed their skills in statistics and algorithm development.

In 2017, Sophie joined EDF as a Research Intern, where they worked on statistics, optimization, and algorithm development. Simultaneously, they started their role as a Research Scientist at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), specializing in statistics, data analytics, and database management.

In 2019, Sophie transitioned to becoming an R&D Engineer at the Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE. Here, they played a key role in project acquisition at international and national levels, business development strategies, and software development and testing for energy management systems. Sophie also contributed to testing protocols for power system infrastructures and the conception of standalone time series forecasting.

Currently, Sophie is working at Enervalis as a Software Developer, focusing on middleware and algorithm development for Smart Energy Systems, including e-mobility and smart home use cases. Their main tools for this role include Java, Python, Gradle, and Docker.

Throughout their career, Sophie has gained expertise in a wide range of areas such as software development, testing, statistics, algorithm development, and database management. Their work experiences have provided their with a strong foundation in smart energy systems and a demonstrated ability to acquire projects and execute business development strategies.

Sophie M. completed a Master's degree in Statistics - Data Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Physics - Chemistry at ESPCI Paris - PSL from 2011 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Sophie has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the "Application Development using Microservices and Serverless" certification issued by IBM on Coursera, as well as the "Introduction to Containers w/ Docker, Kubernetes & OpenShift" certification also issued by IBM. Sophie also achieved the "AWS Fundamentals Specialization" issued by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021.

Before that, in June 2021, Sophie obtained the "Managing Social and Human Capital" certification from the University of Pennsylvania on Coursera. In April 2021, they completed the "Google Project Management: Specialization" certification issued by Google on Coursera. In March 2021, they obtained the "Tiny Machine Learning (TinyML) Professional Certificate" from HarvardX on edX.

Furthermore, Sophie earned the "Arduino Fundamentals certification on Electronics and Physical Computing" from Arduino in June 2020.
