Qing (Ellen) Zhang has a wealth of experience in research and development. Qing (Ellen) began their career in 2008 as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stony Brook University, where they conducted research projects on 2D cathode material for lithium ion batteries, transition metal sulfide materials as additives in lithium sulfur batteries, carbon fluoride material as a cathode material for lithium primary batteries, and bismuth as an anode material for magnesium ion batteries. Qing (Ellen) also developed skills in material characterization and electrochemistry. In 2018, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Kostas Research Institute at Northeastern University, LLC, where they developed solid-state electrolyte for all solid-state batteries and lithium nickel cobalt oxide materials. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Research Chemist I at PPG Industries. Qing (Ellen) currently works as a Senior Staff Scientist at Enevate Corporation.
Qing (Ellen) Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Materials Science and Engineering from Tianjin University between 2008 and 2012. Qing (Ellen) then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from Stony Brook University, which they completed in 2017.
