Daniel Ottavio

Daniel Ottavio is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. Currently serving as a Member of the Technical Staff at Enfabrica since October 2023, Daniel previously held senior roles at CrystalDB and Amazon Web Services (AWS), where leadership was demonstrated in the development of key services such as Elastic Block Store and Elastic File System integration with AWS Backup. Daniel’s background includes principal software engineering at Amadeus IT Group, software engineering at NuoDB focusing on distributed SQL database architecture, and various roles at IBM, Netezza, and Brookhaven National Laboratory, where contributions spanned data warehouse products and scientific research applications. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
