Phil Potter

Phil Potter is a skilled Physical Design Engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently employed at Enfabrica, Phil has a proven track record from previous roles at Meta, Synapse Design Inc., Avatar Integrated Systems Inc., and IBM, where responsibilities included the physical design of graphics subsystems for AR chips, sub-10nm designs, and development of key components for the System Z microprocessor. With a solid foundation in electrical engineering, holding both MS and BS degrees from the University of Southern California, Phil's expertise encompasses timing closure, floorplanning, power estimation, and advanced verification techniques using Synopsys tools. In addition, Phil has provided technical guidance to junior engineers and served as a teaching assistant during academic tenure.
