Mike Allen

Mike Allen has a diverse and extensive background in information security, with over 15 years of experience in various leadership roles. Most recently, they served as the Director of Information Security at Enformion since November 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Cybersecurity Practice Lead at TOLA/Midwest, where they led the transformation of network security, threat/vulnerability management, and security operations for clients. Mike was responsible for developing and leading the strategy efforts for a team of consultants.

Before TOLA/Midwest, Mike held the role of Global Director, Cybersecurity Services at SGS, where they were accountable for overseeing information security operations, strategy, and engineering on a global scale. Mike also managed the establishment of annual expenditures and staffing responsibilities.

Mike's previous experience includes serving as the Director of Security Operations at Argo Group, where they oversaw the protection of computers, networks, and data against threats. Mike provided direct support to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and reported on the effectiveness and maturity of the overall Security Operations function.

Additionally, Mike has served as a Senior Manager of Cyber-Security Operations at Harland Clarke, where they were responsible for continual monitoring, regulatory compliance assessment, risk analysis, and risk remediation activities. Mike also fulfilled the role of Senior IT Auditor during their time at Harland Clarke.

Their earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Information Security Manager at TEKsystems, Information Security, Quality, and Assurance Manager at Excentium, Senior Information Security Manager at Acentia, and Information Security Manager at Altegrity/USIS. In these positions, they were responsible for various aspects of information security, including certification and accreditation, quality control, compliance, risk assessment, and vulnerability assessments.

Mike Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from American InterContinental University, where they studied from 2003 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Mike has obtained several certifications throughout their career in the field of technology, including the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2 in 2008, the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)2 in 2017, and the Certified Ethical Hacker from the EC-Council in 2016. Mike also completed courses such as "Managing New Managers" and "Transitioning from Manager to Leader" through LinkedIn in 2019.
