Alec Smidt

Alec Smidt, PhD, is a seasoned UX Research professional currently working at EngagedMD since January 2024. Previously, Alec served as the Lead UX Researcher at Stack Overflow from May 2021 to October 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Associate and Psychology Fellow at Yale University School of Medicine from 2019 to 2021, as well as significant contributions at the University of Oregon where Alec held positions such as Lead UX Researcher & Product Manager at Ksana Health/Center for Digital Mental Health, Product Manager for The White House Opportunity Project, and Research Lead and Project Manager in the Dynamics Laboratory from 2013 to 2019. Alec's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Dayton.
