Tom Kilgore

Tom Kilgore has over 20 years of professional experience in various roles. Tom began their career in 2001 as an Instrumentation Specialist at OCCIDENTAL CHEMICAL CORP. In 2007, they moved to Certus Solutions (formerly Core Technology Ltd) as a Research and Development Program Manager. In 2013, they founded and moderated #TXEduChat, and also worked as a Teacher at Lewisville ISD and Coppell ISD. In 2015, they became an Education Consultant at Education Service Center Region 11. In 2017, they worked as an Education Consultant at GearWorks Learning. In 2019, they held roles as a Business Development Manager at ELB Education and an Account Executive at GoReact. Tom currently works as a University Partnerships Lead at engageli.

Tom Kilgore has a long history of education. Tom began their studies in 2009 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they studied Elementary Education and Teaching. In 2011, they transferred to the University of North Texas and earned a Bachelor's degree in Education in 2013. In 2015, they attended The University of Texas at Arlington and earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Tom is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
