Engaging Borders SRD is a pan-African nonprofit advancing peacebuilding, civic participation, and inclusive development. We harness research, storytelling, and youth-led innovation to transform conflict-affected spaces—especially across the Sahel—into ecosystems of opportunity.

Founded in Nigeria and active across the Sahel+ and East Africa, Engaging Borders SRD empowers young Africans to lead from the frontlines of peace, climate resilience, and social transformation. Our integrated approach combines:

▪️ Creative Counter-Narratives – using literature, film, and digital media to challenge extremism and foster cohesion.

▪️ Resource Governance & Climate Resilience – youth-led innovation addressing conflicts at the nexus of climate and resources.

▪️ Digital Innovation & Civic Engagement – scalable learning platforms and digital safety for inclusive participation.

▪️ Strategic Research & Policy Advocacy – evidence-based analysis to influence policy and strengthen governance.

▪️ Cross-Border Collaboration – networks that transcend ethnic, religious, and national divides.

We believe conflict emerges at the borders of identity, geography, and imagination. Our mission is to engage those borders—through culture, community, and the courage of open conversations.
