Guy Cassidy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering geology field. Guy started their career at MOUCHEL plc. in 2002 as an Engineering Geologist and Field Geologist. Guy also served as a Quality Committee Member. From 2005 to 2008, they worked at Connell Wagner as an Engineering Geologist and Geotechnical Engineer, where they were also a member of the Office H&S Committee. At Jacobs Engineering from 2008 to 2010, Guy served as a Senior Engineering Geologist and worked on several projects, including the London Tideway Tunnel and the Third Forth Bridge Crossing in Scotland. Guy then joined Aurecon as a Senior Engineering Geologist from 2010 to 2012, where they held the role of Project Leader and Client Relationship Executive. Since 2012, they have been working at ENGEO NZ & AU, starting as an Associate Engineering Geologist & Office Leader in the Wellington office. Guy later became a Principal Engineering Geologist & Office Leader and then assumed the role of Australia Leader. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Officer for Australia & New Zealand and Chief Executive. In their roles at ENGEO, Guy is responsible for leading and supporting teams, managing client relationships, making strategic business decisions, and expanding the company's presence in Australia.
Guy Cassidy earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Exploration Geology from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2001. Guy then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the same university, completing it in 2002. Guy Cassidy also holds additional certifications including Professional Engineering Geologist (PEngGeol) from IPENZ and Chartered Engineer (CEng UK) and Chartered Geologist (CGeol) from the Engineering Council of UK with IOMMM and the Geological Society of London, respectively.
