Project Director at ENGIE South East Asia

Steven Tang has a diverse work experience in project management and electrical engineering. Steven is currently working as a Project Director at ENGIE RCS PTE. LTD., where they are managing a S$230M Greenfield Data centre project in Singapore. Steven has also completed a S$150M Tier 3 Data centre project in Singapore. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Faithful+Gould for one year. Steven also served as a Director at Pro-Soon Electrical Engineering Pte Ltd for six years, overseeing overall project life cycle, business development, and office operations. Before that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Sanyo Engineering and Construction Inc for 19 years, handling various mega projects such as airport terminals, data centers, banks, schools, and hospitals.

Steven Tang has a diverse education history. Steven started their education journey at Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Transmission/Protection. Following this, they attended SIMGE (SIM Global Education) from 1997 to 1999, earning another Diploma in Business Administration, Management, and Operations with a Merit Award.

In 1995, Steven obtained a LEW (Licensed Electrical Worker) Licence Electrical Certificate from the Energy Market Authority, specializing in Electrical and Power Transmission Installation/Installer. Steven furthered their education in 2000 to 2002 at the University of Bradford, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business and Marketing, with a 2nd Upper Honors distinction in the international field.

In 2008 to 2010, Steven pursued additional certification as a Level 2 Senior Infrared Thermographer from Infrared Thermographer UK.

More recently, in 2020, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI (Project Management Institute), specializing in Project Management. Additionally, Steven pursued studies in Psychology from IAP Career College starting in 2022.

Steven has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 1997, they received a Licensed Electrical Worker certification from the Energy Market Authority (EMA). In 2023, they obtained certifications in Commissioning from the U.S. Green Building Council and LEED AP Building Design + Construction from the US Green Building Council - Orange County. Lastly, in 2020, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
