Libby Hirshon currently serves as the Head of ESG/Sustainability at ENGIE Africa, starting in February 2024. Prior to this role, Libby was the ESG/Sustainability Director at BTE Renewables from July 2018 to March 2024, where responsibilities included the development and implementation of the company's environmental and social management system and responsible investment strategy. Libby has over 15 years of experience as a social and environmental advisor, having worked as a self-employed consultant from January 2013 to July 2018, focusing on due diligence assessments and sustainability consulting services. Additionally, Libby held the position of Social and Environmental Specialist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) from May 2013 to June 2018. Libby Hirshon holds degrees from Stellenbosch University and the University of Cape Town.
