Horacio Mallea is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental management across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Health & Safety at ENGIE Chile since August 2021, Horacio also holds the position of H&S Coordinator for Flexible Generation South America. Prior to this role, Horacio was the Operations Manager for IXOM in Chile and SHEQ Manager for LATAM from January 2016 to August 2021, overseeing safety and quality affairs for the region's operations. Horacio's background includes significant roles at companies such as Clariant, Vopak, and ALCOA CSI, where responsibilities spanned safety, health, environment, and quality management. An educator as well, Horacio served as a professor at Fundación Duoc UC from 2008 to 2018, teaching risk prevention. Horacio holds a Master's Degree in Integrated Management of Prevention, Environment, and Quality from the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya, along with various other qualifications in safety and environmental fields.
