Javier Enrique Contreras Sierra is an experienced professional in the field of Instrumentation and Control, currently serving as Supervisor I&C at ENGIE Chile since October 2013. In this role, Javier oversees major maintenance at the Mejillones Thermal Power Plant, handling DCS control systems such as T3000 Siemens and Composer ABB. Previous positions include trainee engineer roles in both Instrumentation and Control at Mejillones and in Operations & Maintenance during the construction of the Laja Hydroelectric Plant. Javier has also gained field experience as a technician in environmental monitoring and has worked in medical equipment maintenance. Academically, Javier holds a Master's degree in Project Management from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes, a Master's in Renewable Energy Management from La Salle formación Continuada, and a degree in Electronic Engineering with a focus on Control and Instrumentation from Universitaria de Investigación y Desarrollo UDI, alongside a technology degree in Financial Accounting.
