Mathieu Brun

Mathieu Brun has a diverse work experience across various companies. Mathieu is currently working at ENGIE Energy Access (Africa) as the Head of Grant Funding, responsible for identifying and securing non-reimbursable financial assistance to support the development of the Solar Home System business in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to this, they served as the Global Stakeholder & Grant Manager at the same company, where they played a key role in bridging the affordability gap of the access to energy sector.

Before joining ENGIE Energy Access (Africa), Mathieu worked at ENGIE as an EU Funding Advisor, where they provided advice and support on funding opportunities within the European Union. Mathieu also worked at Danfoss Drives as an EU Policy Officer, focusing on advocacy work in areas such as water legislation, electrification, and circular economy. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as an intern at ENGIE, where they were involved in tasks related to energy-related European legislation, report drafting, EU financing instruments, public communication, and organizing high-level events.

Mathieu began their career as an intern in the Development Strategy Unit at Veolia.
