Ofentse Rice-Phuti

Ofentse Rice-Phuti is a seasoned data scientist currently employed at ENGIE Energy Access (Africa) since May 2022, following a data scientist internship at Equitech Futures. Ofentse completed a fellowship at the Applied Data Institute, which focused on practical applications of data science. Previous experience includes roles as a graduate teaching assistant and research intern at Carnegie Mellon University Africa, where work involved developing automated malaria diagnosis systems. Ofentse has also served as a lead machine learning engineer and junior ML engineer at Omdena, contributing to various machine learning projects, and as a BI engineer and business intelligence consultant in different organizations. Ofentse holds a Master of Science in Applied Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University Africa, a nano degree in Data Analytics from Udacity, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Botswana.
