Matthew Zeigenfuse is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and data analysis across various industries. Currently serving as Staff Data Scientist for Engine, Matthew previously held roles as Principal and Lead Data Scientist at GoTo Foods, where a market basket recommender system for major food brands was developed and maintained. Additional experience includes a Senior Applied Scientist position at Lily AI, focusing on user personalization through machine learning, and a Principal Data Scientist role at Quartet Health, leading research in patient segmentation using causal machine learning. Matthew's earlier career includes significant contributions at Swiss Re, Fordham University, the University of Zurich, and Michigan State University, as well as engineering experience at Raytheon. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from UC Irvine and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Boston University.
