Tim Brooks is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leadership and software development. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer & Team Lead at Engine by Starling since February 2024, Tim previously held the position of Software Engineer Team Lead at Starling Bank from October 2019 to February 2024. Tim's earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer at MediaKind and Software Engineer at Ericsson, where contributions included work on DVB CSA encryption. Tim's career began with an internship at Ericsson, which provided foundational skills in C++ and exposure to MPEG Transport Stream and DVB Standards. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, earned between 2011 and 2014, and has also gained customer service experience as a Sales Assistant at Cameraland prior to pursuing a career in technology.
