Engine Ventures
Amanda Peiffer is a Tech Venture Fellow at Engine Ventures since September 2024, providing scientific expertise and due diligence for potential investments. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Amanda develops novel strategies and chemical tools for targeting the antibiotic-resistant bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Previous experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Michigan from August 2016 to March 2023, focusing on innovative biophysical techniques and computational tools for studying protein targets. Amanda also served as a Senior Interviewer and Student Researcher at Denison University, where research involved studying the pathogen Burkholderia cenocepacia, and contributed as a Teacher Assistant in both Chemistry and Mathematics departments. Amanda holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry from Denison University.
