Vamsi Mangena

Vamsi Mangena currently serves as a Venture Fellow at Engine Ventures since September 2025, focusing on investment diligence, technology landscaping, and venture creation efforts. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 2016 to February 2022, where Vamsi designed and constructed high-speed imaging platforms for biological analysis and contributed as a member of the Graduate Student Advisory Group for the Dean of Engineering. Additionally, Vamsi has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital since March 2022, where research efforts led to the discovery of a novel mechanism of intercellular mRNA transfer in glioblastoma. Academic credentials include a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Kansas.
