Kenneth Stanton

Chartered Engineer (ceng) at Engineering Council

Kenneth Stanton currently serves as the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and holds the position of Full Professor of Materials Engineering at the University of Limerick since August 2023. Additionally, Kenneth Stanton has been a Visiting Full Professor in the UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at University College Dublin since September 2004. With extensive experience in materials science and engineering, Kenneth Stanton has previously held multiple roles including Head of the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Graduate School Director, and Associate Professor of Materials. Professional credentials include Fellowship in Engineers Ireland, the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining, and Chartered Engineer status from the Engineering Council. Kenneth Stanton received a PhD in Biomaterials from the University of Limerick and holds an MSc in Research in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London, as well as a BSc in Materials Science from the University of Limerick.
