Rafidah Hasan is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka since June 2004, Rafidah is an active member of the Fakulti Kejuruteraan Mekanikal, contributing as an educator, researcher, and supervisor. As a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIMechE) and assessor for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers since September 2017, Rafidah enhances the engineering community through robust international networking. Rafidah's industry experience includes a role as a visiting engineer at Contraves Advanced Devices Sdn Bhd, focusing on metallic material processes and SLM 3D printing, and previous positions as a postgraduate researcher, tutor, and trainee engineer. Rafidah holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Universiti Malaya, complemented by early educational achievements. In addition to professional pursuits, Rafidah is committed to family as a mother to three children and a supportive wife.
