Founded in 1907 by the Presidents of the Inst. of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers, the Engineering Golfing Society has a proud tradition of uniting professional engineers who share a passion for golf. For over a century, our Society has served as a convivial meeting point where engineering excellence and the love of the game converge, fostering a network built on camaraderie, professional respect, and a shared commitment to innovation.

Our rich history—documented from that inaugural Westminster meeting—includes notable figures such as Sir Alexander Kennedy FRS and Sir Robert Hadfield, whose leadership laid the foundation for many of Britain’s most significant infrastructural achievements. Our membership is open to all Chartered Engineers who are also members of a recognized golf club—with further opportunities extended to distinguished engineering graduates and exceptional candidates.
