Emil Bautista

Emil Bautista, PhD, PE, currently serves as a MnROAD Project Engineer at the Minnesota Department of Transportation, focusing on contracted research projects related to pavement. As a Content Contributor for the Engineering Management Institute, Emil is involved in enhancing management and leadership skills for civil engineers. Previous roles include CMT Manager at GESTRA Engineering, Inc., and Testing Services and Quality Assurance Manager at GeoTest, Inc., where Emil managed projects and provided training for technical staff. Emil has also contributed to academia as a Research/Project Assistant at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and as a Teaching Assistant, alongside prior engineering roles at COBAUSA and TAVAREZ & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, INC. Academically, Emil holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in the Dominican Republic.
