Jese Vance

Jese Vance, P.E., is a seasoned professional in civil and geological engineering with extensive experience in geotechnical engineering and project management. Currently serving as the Owner and Geotechnical Engineer at SLADE Engineering Group since October 2021, Jese also contributes content to the Civil Engineering Collective through the Engineering Management Institute. Previous roles include Geotechnical Engineer positions at American Home Inspectors and Engineering Assessments, Inc. and Michael Baker International, where Jese was part of the Quality Assurance Management Team for significant infrastructure projects. Additional experience includes engineering roles at GAI Consultants, EN Engineering, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Jese holds a PhD in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Marshall University.
