Mark Humphrey has extensive work experience in engineering and risk management. Mark started their career as a Nuclear Mechanic in the US Navy from 1997 to 2003. Mark then joined Duke Energy Corporation in 2008 as a Lead Engineer, specializing in Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) for the Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant. In this role, they were responsible for regulatory communication, PRA modeling, and providing technical and risk support to the plant. In 2015, they joined Engineering Planning and Management, Inc. as a Lead Engineer. Currently, Mark is working as a PRA Engineer at GE.
Mark Humphrey obtained their Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College between 1994 and 1997. Mark then attended Navy Nuclear Power School from 1997 to 1998, where they studied Power Plant Operations. Later, from 2003 to 2007, they attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering.
