Michael Tracey is currently Vice President R&D, Ethicon Wound Closure & Repair Platform, and has been with Johnson & Johnson since 2000. He leads end-to-end Wound Closure R&D, and is responsible for the R&D Medical Textile Center in Norderstedt, Germany and the Somerville Advanced Evaluation Laboratories. Mike collaborates closely with internal partners and external networks to advance new product development innovation globally.
Mike has over 20 years of Medical Device experience along with a big passion for insight-driven innovation and excellence in execution. Most recently, Mike served as Vice President of R&D for the Codman Specialty Surgicial division of Integra LifeSciences. In this role, Mike was responsible for development and innovation across many neurosurgery medical device platforms.
Mike has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Leadership and Development, and volunteers for American Corporate Partners.
