Mark A. Langley is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in strategic advisory and leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director at Engineers for a Sustainable World since July 2021, Langley has also been an Independent Consultant since January 2019, providing strategic advisory services to both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. With extensive experience as President and CEO at the Project Management Institute from 2002 to 2018, Langley oversaw a global network of project management professionals. Previous roles include executive positions at Chemlogix, Assetrade.com, Quala Systems, and Castle Energy Corporation, contributing to significant revenue growth and operational excellence. Langley began a career as a Certified Public Accountant at PwC and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Saint Joseph's University.

Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) is a chapter-based organization with more than 1,750 members, and 3,000 alumni based throughout North America. As technically-minded students and professionals, ESW works on forging lasting solutions to sustainability challenges through technical design projects and educational initiatives.
