Laura Chan has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were a Student Mentor at UCL. In 2012, they worked as a Summer Intern in the EPR facility at University College London. In 2013, they were a Medical Laboratory Assistant at Victoria Hospital, a Student Academic Representative and an MRes student at UCL. In 2014, they were a Postgraduate Research Student and a Junior Dean at the University of Oxford. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Institute of Cancer Research, and currently works as a Scientist in Oncology at Engitix Therapeutics.
Laura Chan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from UCL in 2013. Laura then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Biosciences (Biochemistry) from UCL in 2014. In 2016, they obtained an MHFA Standard certification from Mental Health First Aid England (MHFA) Community Interest Company. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ion Channels in Health and Disease from the University of Oxford in 2018.
