Kathryn Brooks

Kathryn Brooks is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education and textiles. Currently serving as the Head Seamstress at Atelier la vie est belle since June 2012, Kathryn is skilled in sewing and knitting. In addition to this role, Kathryn has been an ESOL Teacher with the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia since September 2016 and has taken on the role of Domestic Goddess since June 2011. Kathryn's teaching experience extends to French instruction at Fairfax County Public Schools from September 2010 to June 2011 and teaching French and Social Studies for grades K-8 at Edlin School from September 2007 to June 2010. Prior to this, Kathryn served as a Petty Officer Second Class in the US Navy, where responsibilities included serving as the Yeoman to the Commanding Officer. Kathryn holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained between 1974 and 1976.
