Angela Sorensen

Strength & Conditioning at English National Ballet School

Angela Sorensen is an accomplished Strength & Conditioning Coach and Lecturer with extensive experience in sports performance and rehabilitation. Currently serving at the English National Ballet School, Angela focuses on strength programming and injury prevention for dancers while providing rehabilitation support. In a concurrent role at Middlesex University, Angela leads modules in Strength & Conditioning and supervises research projects in Sports Rehabilitation. Previous positions include Coaching Education Consultant at Eleiko, where Angela co-authored and instructed global strength coaching courses, and Director of Sports Performance at Loyola University Chicago, where Angela contributed to the success of NCAA championship teams. Angela holds a PhD in Sports Biomechanics and an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science from Middlesex University, complementing a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Angela received the One Dance UK Awards 2020 Dance Healthcare Team Award for significant contributions to dance health.
