Carmen Derouin is a seasoned dance professional with extensive experience in performance, education, and arts management. Currently serving as Senior Participation Officer at English National Ballet since February 2024, Carmen previously held roles including Interim Marketing & Digital Assistant and Work Placement (Producing) within the same organization. Carmen's background includes performing as a principal dancer with Cantinas Arts Foundation and teaching as an Artist in Residence/Dance Instructor at CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts. Additionally, Carmen has contributed as a Dance Instructor at Tutu School Franchises and LDH JAPAN. Education credentials include a Master of Arts in Dance Producing and Management from Middlesex University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Founded in 1950 as London Festival Ballet by the great English Dancers Alicia Markova and Anton Dolin, it has been at the forefront of ballet’s growth and evolution ever since.
