Nancy Traver

Nancy Traver is an experienced educator and journalist with a career spanning over four decades. Currently, Nancy teaches digital literacy at the Montgomery County Pre-Release and Re-Entry center in Rockville, Maryland, and has also taught English as a Second Language to non-native speakers. Previous experience includes a role as publicity chair for the Part-time Faculty Association of Columbia College, where Nancy crafted press releases and managed the union's communications. Nancy served as a college instructor at Columbia College Chicago, teaching journalism and providing writing coaching, and taught graduate students at Northwestern University. Early career highlights include on-air reporting for KRQE-13, work as a correspondent for Time Magazine in Moscow and Washington, D.C., and reporting for various reputable news organizations including Newsweek and The Associated Press. Nancy holds bachelor's degrees in journalism and English from the University of Colorado Boulder.
