Estibaliz Arce Cirauqui

VP Translational Science and Clinical Development at Engrail Therapeutics

Estibaliz Arce Cirauqui has extensive work experience in the field of clinical development and neuroscience research. Starting in 2002, they served as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they conducted functional neuroimaging data analysis and coordinated clinical fMRI research projects. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Project Scientist/Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine. In this role, they continued their research in the field of neuroscience.

In 2008, Estibaliz joined Wyeth Research as a Clinical Scientist, where they provided medical and scientific support for phase 2 and 3 clinical trials. Estibaliz was responsible for developing protocols, training study team members, and ensuring data collection compliance. Their role also involved contributing to regulatory documents and managing safety and review committees.

Estibaliz then joined EMD Serono, Inc. in 2009, starting as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist and later becoming the Associate Director, Clinical Scientist, Global Clinical Development. Their responsibilities included leading the scientific development of clinical trial protocols, collaborating with other teams to develop clinical development plans, and contributing to regulatory materials and scientific publications. Estibaliz also established partnerships with external experts and organized research collaborations and expert panels.

In 2013, Estibaliz joined Pfizer as a Director, Clinician, Neuroscience Research Unit, where they led cognition-related activities and designed clinical development plans. Estibaliz later became the Director, Translational NeuroMedicine and Digital Medicine, leading activities related to the development of patient reported outcomes and contributing to regulatory submissions.

Estibaliz continued their career at Biogen in 2018 as a Medical Director. In this role, they provided medical expertise and contributed to clinical development projects until joining Engrail Therapeutics in 2022 as the VP of Translational Science and Clinical Development.

Estibaliz Arce Cirauqui attended the University of Deusto from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology. After completing their bachelor's degree, they continued their education at the same university and pursued a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from 1999 to 2002.
